Many items sold by 1911PartsPlus are vintage pistol parts made under U.S. government contract during the first half of the 20th century. Many of our customers purchase these parts in order to restore WWI and WWII era military pistols which the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms has determined to be classified as "Curios and Relics" (i.e., antiques). We will do our best to describe these items, but it is not uncommon for such items—even when in new and unused condition—to have some dust, minor surface rust (but not pitting—unless indicated) or an age related patina.

For the same reason, it is impossible to warranty the utility of an item made by various government contractors more than sixty years ago. Because safety must always be the highest priority, before using a vintage gun part in a firearm, each part should be examined and installed by a competent gunsmith.

1911PartsPlus will exchange any unused item found to be defective. However, we cannot be responsible for any injuries or property damage caused by the negligent installation of a vintage or reproduction part into a firearm intended for use.

Items can be returned for merchandize credit or exchanged only if the item is returned within seven (7) days of receipt in unused condition with original packaging. No cash refunds for items returned or for postage and handling are permitted.

To return an item please contact us first for authorization by phone or email, and then mail the item back to us via a prepaid, insured and traceable method (i.e., delivery confirmation) to the address below.

We cannot take responsibility for uninsured items lost by the USPS or other carrier.
